Bereavement Support

Each Fall and Spring season, Aurora United Church is pleased to offer a Bereavement Support Group for adults who are experiencing the loss of a loved one. This is a non-denominational program, for which there is no fee. The participants will have an opportunity to learn about the grieving process. Issues relating to loss, along with strategies and resources for coping, will be presented. Handouts will be available.

Dates: March 31- May 19, 2010 (eight consecutive Wednesday evenings)

Time: 7pm - 9pm

Location: Aurora United Church – Founder’s Room
15186 Yonge St., Aurora (at the corner of Yonge and Tyler)

Leaders: Carol Easey, Paula Hanna, Mary Smith
Facilitators experienced and trained in bereavement

The participants will have the opportunity to learn about the grieving process. Topics relating to loss, strategies for coping, helpful resources and utilizing a support system will be discussed.

Handouts will be available.

It is our hope that each participant would be able to attend all meetings.
