Join the Advent journey through the United Church of Canada’s Gifts with Vision program by providing Food for the North. In First Nations of the far north, people may go hungry even when food is available in stores. For instance, at Oxford House First Nation, 950 km north of Winnipeg, community members pay about $11 for a package of bologna. Your gift is shared in First Nation Communities in Northern Manitoba through the All Native Circle Conference.

Would your office co-workers, neighbours, hockey team, bowling team, extended family etc. be interested in purchasing gift cards for groceries and capture the true meaning of Christmas giving? Simply make out a cheque payable to Aurora United Church, marked Food for the North and place gift on the collection plate or bring it to the AUC office, lower level of Trinity Anglican Church.

Our goal is to raise $3500.Gift acknowledgement letters are available from the AUC office if you are making a donation as a gift. Watch the thermometer each week to see how close we are to our goal!

As of January 20 we have raised $4270!

Thank you for your support!
