July 31 will be the final day that T.C's will be opening their doors in Aurora. Tony, Chris & Stella and their family have been AUC's neighbour since 1992. Tony first opened a sub shop on the same property in 1978. Many of you will have memories of stopping by for lunch, a quick snack before a meeting or to share fries with a friend following a choir practice, scouts, cubs, guides or a committee meeting. They have assisted us in a variety of ways since the fire - especially with archaeologists who were on the site for two years.
The family made the announcement on social media yesterday:
We would like to announce that after 28 years of operating, we have made the decision to close. There is not one specific reason why we decided to do this, we had been deliberating for a while, but we have simply concluded that it is time. Our final day will be Friday, July 31st. It has been a pleasure serving this community, and we will carry our experience with us as we move to a new chapter. Thank you very much to everyone for your tremendous support through the years. Should we decide it is time for round 2 down the line we will be sure to let you all know. We hope to see you all around town!Take care,Everyone at T.C.’s
We have been in touch with Chris & Stella and expressed our thanks to them. Whope you will have the opportunity to share your memories and express your thanks to them as well.
