I am so pleased to have been asked to send you this month's Foundation newsletter. There is so much good news to share! Fall is in full swing and it really does feel like we are reaping a harvest.
Firstly, the Board of Directors of the United Church of Canada Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Charters as President of our Foundation. Since her graduation from the University of Toronto in 2001, Sarah has worked in the non-profit sector and began her journey with the Foundation in 2007. Her work has encompassed every aspect of the governance and operations of the Foundation, including (among many other things!) support for all three key pillars of our work; giving, granting and investing.
To say she is ready for the role is an understatement. Along with the incredible dedication from the members of her staff, Sarah brings the experience and passion to lead our support of the work of the United Church of Canada now and into the future. Please join the Board of Directors in congratulating Sarah on her new role!
