Today we remember the crucifixion of Jesus.

Jesus Surrenders to God: A prayer for Good Friday.

Arts & Faith: Good Friday

Enter into a visual prayer experience this Lent with Arts & Faith: Lent. Each week we’ll provide a video commentary about a work of art inspired by the Sunday Scriptures. Use these videos to take a new look at this season of spiritual renewal through the lens of sacred art.

Good Friday

From the Social & Ecological Justice Commission (Shining Waters Regional Council)

The Social & Ecological Justice Commission is offering a series of videos (see videos below) centred around the theme of homelessness. The issue of homelessness is very important to the work of the Social & Ecological Justice Commission. These words, taken from a Simcoe County Kairos 2018 Good Friday Walk for Justice, echo our call as a commission to address homelessness and affordable housing within our communities:

As Jesus stood against the domination systems of his time, so we acknowledge those who are poor, vulnerable, marginalized, voiceless and exploited by the systems of our time. Good Friday is traditionally associated with the suffering of Jesus and so we recognize the suffering of the people with whom Jesus identified so strongly.

Where do you see crucifixion in your community? Where do you see hope?
