Shining Waters Regional Council is inviting expressions of interest for 3-5 people who would like to serve on an Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee.
This small group will help guide the development of a regional strategic plan that reflects our shared connection with our vision as contained in the Regional Policy (PDF – 3 pages) and with Toward 2035. Together, the committee will prayerfully reflect, imagine possibilities, and recommend a plan that helps shape our ministry in the years ahead.
We are looking for people who:
• feel connected to the vision of Shining Waters Regional Council
• have experience with facilitation of strategic planning (in the Church or other settings)
• are comfortable meeting online, with the possibility of occasional in-person gatherings
• have some familiarity with the structure of The United Church of Canada.
Experience serving at the regional level—on the Executive, a commission or committee, or as a regional representative from your community of faith—would be an asset.
The committee will report to the Regional Executive as the work unfolds. An interim chair will convene the first meeting, where the committee will choose its ongoing chair.
