Please join us for our next Aurora United Church Movie Night featuring: An American Rhapsody (2001) and a Canadian Rhapsody

Tuesday April 14, 2026

7:00 p.m.

Binion’s Hall, Trinity Anglican Church, Aurora

The movie, An American Rhapsody, is based a true story and set in 1950. The story follows a Hungarian couple who are forced to flee the oppressive Hungarian People's Republic for the United States. Due to complications, they must leave their infant daughter, Suzanne, behind. Five years later, the family is reunited. Suzanne (starring a young Scarlett Johansson), now a rebellious teenager, struggles to adjust to her new life and eventually travels back to Budapest to uncover her past and true identity.

After the movie, we plan to have a guest speaker discuss her own true account of a more recent “Canadian Rhapsody” - an escape from Hungary to Canada.

Refreshments and treats will be provided. There is no charge for Movie Night. Please bring a friend.
