Marketing Co-ordinator
Status: 30 hrs/wk. (Mon-Thurs 8:30-4:30) – 9 Week Contract
Location: 44 Metcalfe Street, Aurora
Start Date: As soon as possible Hourly Rate: $16.55
Applicants must be between the age of 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
About Us
Welcoming Arms is a small charitable, non-profit organization whose primary objective is to help relieve poverty by assisting people living on a low-income. This is done primarily through three programs; a weekly community dinner, a weekly community lunch and a program that provides financial assistance to those in need.
Job Description
Reporting to the Communications Committee, you will;
- Develop and implement social media and marketing plan
- Create visual and graphic designs using computer software
- Design and produce promotional material and signage
- Update and improve organization’s website
- Assist with planning, promoting and implementing community events
- Research funding sources and fund development opportunities
Required skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
- Experience with social media marketing and campaign development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Ability to collaborate, contribute and support teamwork
- Creative and innovative
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Completion of a post secondary education program in marketing, advertising or communications strongly preferred
- Experience in related marketing and communications preferred
